ECOSYSTEMS in practice: ECOMAI, Ecological Motor Control and Predictive Maintenance with Artificial Intelligence

Ferdinand Hodler / View into Eternity, Kunstmuseum Basel, 06/22

Beginning of 2022, I took the chance of more screen time by attending a online course about “Disruptive Innovation”, held by Cambridge Judge Business School. What is my conclusion of 2 intense months, sharing thoughts, potential concepts, elaborating case studies with more than 80 students, joining online from all over the globe, all high-profile, coming from industry and educational backgrounds? We rely on ecosystems because with need more than ever to look over the horizon to understand innovation potential.

So I also realised how lucky I am to be engaged in the ECOMAI project. ECOMAI - Ecological Motor Control and Predictive Maintenance with Artificial Intelligence - mirrors exactly, what I learned: A strong ecosystem is needed to advance technology, build new business opportunities and reply to the urgent question of sustainability. The key: You gather into an ecosystem which at first sight might seems too diverse. But it is only the look about the industry horizon which allows the innovation.
